Democrat Susan Siegel defeated Republican Donna Diana in a special election to fill the seat left vacant by former councilman and newly appointed Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman in April.
Lachterman won his own special election on April 16 against Democrat Jann Mirchandani to fill the seat for Town Supervisor, which was left empty after former supervisor Tom Diana, Donna Diana’s husband, died on January 5. Diana died just days after he began his first official term in office.
